Best Intel CPU for 2021 | Dxb Gamers.
The Intel Core i5-11400 is a desktop processor with 6 cores, launched in March 2021. It is part of the Core i5 lineup, using the Rocket Lakes architecture with Socket 1200. With Intel Hyper-Threading, the number of cores is effectively doubled, at 12 threads. Core i5-11400 has 12 MB L3 cache and runs at 2.6 GHz by default, but can increase to 4.4 GHz, depending on the workload. Intel makes the Core i5-11400 on a 14 nm manufacturing node, the number of transistors is unknown. The multiplier is locked on the i5-11400 kernel, restricting its Overclocking ability.
With a 65W PDT, the Core i5-11400 consumes typical power for a modern PC. The Intel CPU supports DDR4 memory with a dual-channel interface. The highest officially supported memory speed is 3200 MHz, but with Overclocking (and the right memory modules) you can go even higher. For communication with other components in the computer, Core i5-11400 uses a PCI-Express Gen 4 connection. This processor features the UHD Graphics 730 integrated graphics solution.
Hardware virtualization is available on the Core i5-11400, which greatly improves virtual machine performance. Additionally, IOMMU virtualization (PCI passthrough) is supported, so that guest virtual machines may directly use host hardware. Programs using Advanced Vector Extensions (AVX) can run on this processor, boosting performance for calculation-heavy applications. In addition to the AVX, Intel also comes with the new AVX2 standard, but not the AVX-512.
